Construction procurement coordinator

Job Description We are looking for an organized and experienced Construction Procurement Coordinator to support construction projects by coordinating purchasing activities, suppliers, material requirements, and deliveries. The role requires understanding of construction materials, procurement procedures, supplier coordination, quotations, purchase orders, and delivery follow-ups. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily procurement and purchasing requirements for construction projects. Source construction materials, tools, equipment, MEP materials, and site consumables. Request and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs), RFQs, purchase requests, and quotation comparison sheets. Coordinate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, payment terms, and delivery schedules. Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices and suitable commercial terms. Follow up on pending orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites. Coordinate closely with site engineers, project managers, storekeepers, accounts, and suppliers. Verify delivered materials against purchase orders, delivery notes, and approved requirements. Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, purchase registers, and delivery trackers. Monitor outstanding orders and material requirements.
